Joe
Doner is Head of CIBA Vision’s Global Supply Chain. Joe has more
than 28 years experience in supply chain operations internationally. Most
recently, he served as a consultant with Partnering Group, applying his
expertise in supply chain and production site optimization, strategy development
and integrated supply and demand planning for manufacturing and retail
clients including Johnson & Johnson, Avery Dennison and Neutrogena.
Prior to this, Joe was with Procter & Gamble (P&G) for nearly 25 years in escalating roles of responsibility within supply and production operations including Director, Product Supply Latin America Fabric and Home Care. In this role, he was responsible for total global supply chain for this $1.5 billion dollar business. He managed an organization of 3,000 personnel located across Latin America and was responsible for the technical center and 10 manufacturing facilities. During his tenure, he successfully delivered all products and packaging initiatives on schedule and on budget with plant operations at new highs of efficiency.
Prior to that he served as Director of Product Supply for P&G Global Oral Care responsible for purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, planning and distribution of $1.2 billion of product sales. In this role he managed an organization of over 2,000 personnel, one technical center and six manufacturing sites located in the U.S., Europe, Mexico and China. Joe is credited with increasing plant operation efficiency from 80 to 90 percent while successfully launching new products like Crest Whitestrips every six months in each Region. He also established a technical support organization to accelerate product development and material qualifications.
Some of Joe’s other key roles at P&G included Director of Product Supply for Tissues & Towels, Plant Operations General Manager for Paper Products Company, and Plant Operations Manager at Folgers Coffee Company during which time the plant received the State of Missouri Malcolm Baldridge Award for Quality.
Joe has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
