Martin Filippides - Global Head of Human Resources
Mr. Filippides joined CIBA Vision in 2005 from Quintiles Transnational where he was Vice President of Human Resources - Americas, as well as the Global Human Resources head for the Late Phase clinical development business. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Quintiles Transnational provides the full spectrum of product development and commercialization activities, from early compound development, laboratory services and regulatory submission through sales and marketing to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare industries.
In this role, he significantly restructured all main business lines in partnership with business leaders. He also initiated several global culture change initiatives including the introduction of quality improvement programs.
Prior to joining Quintiles, Martin held various positions at Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals and Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that he was a Biotechnology lecturer for North Hertfordshire College.
Mr. Filippides has his bachelor's degree from University College of Wales, and a master's from the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom.
